[5] Henry Van Hining having some time since been Committed on a Suspicion of having been enlisted in the service of the Enemy was brought before this Board, and it appearing from the information of several principal Inhabitants of this County That during the last Campaign he had acted as a

Guide to the Scouting Parties of our army, and it also

appearing from his examination under Oath That he is a

friend to the Cause of America, and that he does not know of

any Plots or Conspiracies formed or forming in this State against the Liberties of America Ordered thereupon That he be Liberated from Confinement upon his entring into Recognizance with Surety for his future good behaviour and Monthly appearance before any one of the Commissioners
