Minutes of the Commissioners for Detecting and Defeating Conspiracies in the State of New York
Conspiracies or due Course of Law -- Apr. 22. missioners for It being suggested to this Board that Henry Van Dyke of the District of Kinderhook declines to do Militia Duty on Account of certain Restrictions heretofore laid upon him by the Committee of the City and County of Albany whereupon it is resolved that the said Restrictions be taken off and that he be at Liberty to do his duty as a subject of this State and that a Copy [of] this Resolution be immediately transmitted to him -- Adjourned -- Met Albany 25-- April 1779 1779 [ 35 ] Apr. 25.

William Hoogteling having been concerned in different Robberies and being apprehended by a Party of Continental Troops & brought before the Board was Examined and
his Examination is as follows (to wit) (see Examination of File) -- Resolved that he be committed and that a Mittimus be made out to the Goaler to take him into his Custody and closely confine him -- A Letter from Major John L. Bronck dated 23? Instant was laid before the Board wherein he informs that he sends to us a Prisoner named Edward Finn who from the Examinations inclosed in the said Letter appears to have been concerned in some of the Robberies lately committed at
