Upon the arrival of Henry Sloughter as governor of the province, on the 19th of March, 169 J, we find the following members present at a council meeting, holden the same day, viz. Joseph Dudley, Frederick Philipse, Stephen van Cortlandt, Gabriel Monville, Chiidley Brooke, Thomas Willet, and William Pinborne. a

Permit and suffer Frederick Philipse to land on board the sloop ye Cock 250 schepels of Wheat, to be carryed to ye Mill at Milford for his conveniency of having it ye sooner ground for his occasions, he engaging that the floure and meale thereof shall be brought back to this place.
