For an arrest we keep the age and home town — the ordinary blotter formulation; for a traffic collision we keep nothing about the people at all. Charges are accusations, not convictions. Street names are the trooper's own free-text entry, expanded against local street names (OpenStreetMap) so "YORKTOWN" reads as Yorktown Road, not the town. Roads along the village boundary may sit partly in Cortlandt; the village attribution is the state's own location code.

What no public record shows. Westchester County Police patrol Croton Point Park and publish no incident feed, so park incidents surface only through another agency or a press release. County fire/EMS dispatch ("60 Control") is unverified scanner audio — we don't use it. The County District Attorney posts a Croton-relevant release only a few times a year; we check weekly, keep every Croton item, and flag new ones to the newsroom the day they appear.
