" At a town meeting held at the school house in the town of Pelham, on Tuesday the seventh day of April, 1801, for the purpose of electing town officers for the said town to serve the ensuing year, the following persons were appointed to the following offices and places," viz.

highways of the northern district of the town, as far north till it comes to the
before mentioned gate.

The Pelham infant school, erected in 1S45, is an interesting specimen of Saxon architecture. It was opened May, 1845, and at present numbers from eighty to ninety stated scholars.
