Although the records do not mention the distinguishing title, if he had one, of the victim whose arrest and imprisonment and conditional release are mentioned in the note referred to, and, therefore, the untitled "Joshua Purdy'' has been connected with those records, there are circumstances which favor the impression that Captain Joshua was the person to whom they really referred.
