A resolution offered by Judge Hart, of this couaty, and passed by this convention, looking to the possible necessity for further deliberation and action by this body, makes the more clear how, by the precipitancy of the South, these wellmeaning and persistent efforts for conciliation were rendered ineffectual.
We present now, from the several censuses of the State and General Government, a view of the growth of the County in the number of its inhabitants from the beginning of the Colonial period to the year 1880.
