The county, as we have indicated, is steadily becoming more and more popular with the class who appreciate the great advantages of semi-rural homes as a relief from the cares of business. In the summer months the population, of course, is greatly increased. Many wealthy inhabitants of New York have summer residences in the county, and not a few prefer to live here both winter aud summer. Among those whose palatial residences adorn the county are Hon.
