Whereas I have had Sufficient Testimony of the Abilityes and Integrity of Josias Clarke Clergyman And of his Fitnesse to be Chaplaine to the Garrison of New Yorke I doe therefore hereby authorize & Require You to Putt him upon the Estabhshm* as Chaplain to the S^ Garrison Accordingly; with such Salary and allowances as are thereunto belonging to Commence from
