Friday, the 6"' Novemb"' 1620. Folio 329. New Neiheriand. Mess" Pauw and Fervau reported their proceedings between both parties of the Merchants claiming New Netherland, endeavoring to reconcile them. But as that could not be done, it is, after consideration, resolved and concluded that the requested Charter shall be refused.

q"e3ting"'''te' at slso, the petition of Traders to Virginia, requesting to be allowed to send out BhTpsto fet'ch'ihei? some ships to bring their returns thence to this Country, as the trade and Country hither. commerce thither are not to be lost before the West India Company be formed and ready. On consideration, it is unanimously resolved, that the aforesaid petitions shall be voted for and supported, on behalf of this Province, in the General Assembly, on condition that the petitioners pledge themselves to be back to this country before the 1" July next.
