View of the Distributing Reservoir on Murray's Hill — Currier (1842)

Lithograph by Nathaniel Currier (of 'Currier and Ives' fame) showing the newly completed Croton Distributing Reservoir on Murray Hill in 1842. One of the earliest images of the reservoir that would define Manhattan's midtown landscape for nearly sixty years.
