John M. McDonald interview — 1847
From the Westchester County Historical Society catalog:
According to John English, John Macdonald’s original notes included excerpts from two works by officers of the French Army in America: Comte Mathieu Dumas (1753-1837), an aide to General Rochambeau, and Abbé Robin, a chaplain. It also appears that Macdonald visited Sylvanus Miller of Greenwich, Connecticut, but did not record any information.
