Thursday – October 16th Went with John Nugent to White Plains, and took board and lodgings at John Meads – Called upon Mrs. Putney, Mrs. Elisha Horton, Mrs. Sarah Halsted, Mrs. John Horton, Mr. Wm. Barker, and then to Washington Tompkins of Kenseto, where I spent the afternoon, &c. October 17th – Called to see our old servant black Betsey, at the County Alms House, &c. Captain John Romer &c. Tarrytown P.O.
