Caller was instructed to contact an attorney and refer to a certain case number. Caller contacted the number and a person who identified himself as an attorney said that the caller's friend was in an accident and he needed money. Caller then contacted his friend directly who stated that he was perfectly fine and that it was a scam caller.

Patrols responded and spoke to the caller and left the items near the mailboxes on Robin Lane.

Croton Fire Department and Croton DPW responded to the scene as well.
