Patrol received a report from a Croton resident who reported being scammed of $500.00. They received a call from an alleged Amazon rep indicating she is due a $900.00 credit back. The alleged Amazon rep had accessed their bank accounts and requested them to transfer funds amongst their savings and checking accounts. They asked the rep for their call back number which the rep provided and they called the number and it did go back to the same person they were speaking with. They checked their accounts for suspicious activity and notified their bank. They later discovered funds missing from an Apple Pay account. A report to be filed.
