Patrol responded to an area on Harrison St for a report of a party screaming from inside a residence. The multi-family residence was checked and a resident had confirmed they had been screaming at someone on the telephone.

Patrol responded to a commercial area on S Riverside Ave(ShopRite parking lot) for parties soliciting donations, by playing a recording of a violin while acting as if they were playing the violin. The area was checked and the parties were located and left the area without incident.

Patrols responded to an area on Van Cortlandt Pl for a report of two parties having a verbal dispute. Patrols interviewed the parties involved and the situation was remediated, prior to their arrival. There was no report filed.

Patrols responded to multiple gas stations in the village after a caller reported a customer had stolen something from inside the establishment. The gas stations were checked with negative findings of a caller. It was discovered the gas station was in another Westchester jurisdiction. A notification was made to that agency.

An individual turned in property to CPD found on the street in the Village. The owner, a Croton resident, was contacted and retrieved the property.

Patrol received a report from a Croton resident who reported they received a spam phone call from 914-532-1694 someone reporting to be a Texas Police Officer. The unknown caller is described as possibly an adult male with an accent. The unknown caller told him they have a rental car in his name at the Texas Border and need their information. The resident realized it was a scam and hung up. When the unknown caller couldn't reach them they texted him from a different number 202-852-0819 saying if you don't answer the phone we will freeze all of your accounts. The caller put a watch / freeze on their credit to monitor any new activity and has had no financial loss. No report was filed.

Patrol responded to an area on Peter Beet Ln for a report of a dog continuously barking on a resident's property. There was no offense observed for a summons to be issued.

Patrols and other Westchester law enforcement agencies responded to an area on Route 9 South for a report of a stolen vehicle traveling south. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was taken into custody. After further investigation with a New Jersey PD it was determined to release the subject. The owner of the vehicle was notified.

Patrol notified by a Croton resident on Quaker Bridge Road who reported they received paperwork in the mail from Wells Fargo Bank regarding a loan application. The resident did file for any type of loan and notified Wells Fargo Bank. At this time the caller has not had any financial loss. No report to be filed.

Patrol was notified by a Croton resident on Warren Road who reported they discovered while conducting a personal credit report, a Capital One Auto Finance account opened on 06/22/2021 in the amount of $52,000.00 using their name. They did not open that account nor did he give anyone permission to open the account. They contacted Capital One and discovered that the account had been opened to purchase a 2019 Mercedes-Benz 300 series. At this time the caller has not had any financial loss. A report to be filed.

Patrol responded to an area on Farrington Rd for a noise complaint of music from a live band at their neighbor’s residence. The neighbor was interviewed and lowered the music. There was no summon issued.

Patrols responded to an area on Grand St after a business owner called reporting asking a patron to leave their establishment for stealing something. The party was now outside the establishment pacing up and down the sidewalk. The area was canvassed and the intoxicated party was located. The party refused medical assistance and a friend responded to give them a ride. There was no report filed.

Patrol responded to an area on Dailey Dr after receiving a 911 hang up call. Patrol checked the location and spoke with a resident who dialed accidentally.

Patrol notified by a Croton resident on Observatory Dr who reported they had sold an item on Ebay and the buyer mailed a check for several thousand dollars more than the purchase price. The alleged buyer indicated the extra funds were for a moving company who was coming to pick up the item. The resident attempted to deposit the check and their bank had alerted them it was probably fraudulent and will not clear. The resident contacted the alleged buyer and canceled the transaction. At this time the caller has not had any financial loss. A report to be filed.

Patrol responded to an area on O'Riley Ct after a resident reported their vehicle stolen from the driveway. The stolen was a black 2019 BMX X5, which had been observed in the driveway earlier in the day. The area was canvassed with negative results. A report to be filed. The investigation is ongoing.

Patrol responded to an area on Young Ave after a resident reported on more than one occasion the same parties have left trash in front of their residence and left in a vehicle. The area was checked with negative results.

Patrol responded to a commercial area on S Riverside Ave after a resident called reporting a business was open with no staff inside. Patrol checked the location and found no signs of forced entry. The business owner was notified and responded to secure the business.

Patrols responded to an area on Sunset Trl and surrounding areas after multiple residents reported hearing a very loud bang. The area was canvassed with negative results, no residents reported having a power outage.

After the investigation, a 33 year old Yonkers, NY resident, was taken into custody for Assault 3RD Degree. He was released on his own recognizance.

After an extensive canvass the party was located within the village, Croton EMS was notified and transported them to the hospital. A report to be filed.

Patrol responded to an area on Benedict Blvd(basketball court) for a report of a noise complaint from loud music and voices. The location was checked and the juveniles at the scene were given a warning and left the location.

Patrol responded to an area on Morningside Dr for a neighbor dispute. The parties were interviewed and the present situation was mediated.

Patrols located the party who was interviewed and confirmed they took the food without paying and that they had no funds to pay for but were going to do so at a later date. The situation was resolved with payment from an uninvolved party and the local business was satisfied. No report to be filed.

Patrols responded to an area on Amber Dr for a report of a neighbor who had blocked the sidewalk in order to seal coat their driveway, which was done four days ago. The neighbor was interviewed and removed the blockaded sidewalk without incident.

Patrol was notified by a Croton resident that they had received harassing text messages from the parents of whom his child was dating. The messages were read and at the present time did not warrant a criminal investigation. No report filed at this time.

Patrol was notified by a Croton resident on Mount Airy Road that an unknown person(s) had cashed a fraudulent check in their name and withdrew a large amount of money from their business bank account. The party notified their bank. A report to be filed.
