On motion of TRUSTEE ___, seconded by TRUSTEE ____, the following
resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-
Hudson, New York, with a – vote.
Resolution #256-2025
WHEREAS, Chapter 197-15 of the Village Code, Snow and Ice on Sidewalks,
provides for the property owner or lessee to keep the adjoining sidewalk free from
snow and ice, subject to certain parameters specified in the law; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 197-15, subsection D, provides for the Village to cause the
snow and ice to be removed from the sidewalk if not done by the homeowner within
the prescribed 12-hour period; and
WHEREAS, on October 23, 2024, the Village Board of Trustees approved an
agreement with New England Property Maintenance, of Mahopac New York, for
snow removal services for the 2024-2025 winter season; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has agreed to maintain the same schedule of rates for the
2025-2026 winter season,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Manager is hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with New England Property Maintenance, of
Mahopac, New York, for snow removal services for the 2025-2026 winter season at
the following rates:
Minimum charge per property: $70
Snow removal of 4 inches or less: $0.20 per square foot
Snow removal of greater than 4 inches: $0.50 per square foot
Use of calcium chloride (for icy conditions): $70 per bag
