Memorandum of Understanding | Between Yorktown Police Department AND Croton Police Department AND Briarcliff Police Department This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets for the terms and understanding between the above partners to apply for the NYS Local Government Efficiency Grant. Background Police departments rely on communication technology to do crucial public safety work. Updated and proper equipment functions dependably each day and in many scenarios. The above partners will purchase Motorola Flex RMS/CAD computer software and equipment to enhance their ability to protect and serve their respective municipalities. Purpose This MOU will create a regional partnership between three (3) different Police Departments that combine protect a large bi-county community spanning multiple municipalities. These three police departments will now have inter-operability with six (6) other bi-county police departments, who utilize the Motorola Flex RMS/CAD product. The above goals will be accomplished by undertaking the following activities: 1. The Yorktown Police Department will be the lead agency for grant administration purposes. 2. Each department will provide data required by the grant funding agency for the application and administration purposes. 3. Ifawarded, the requested communications equipment will be purchased through an accepted procurement process. : 4. The purchased equipment will be utilized for its intended purposes. Reporting : There will be regular quarterly meetings between one assigned representative from each partner agency. : Representatives will discuss the positives and negatives of the program and report to each Police Department Chief with suggestions for improvements. Funding This MOU is not a commitment of funds from the partners listed on this form. Duration This MOU is at-will and may be modified by mutual consent of authorized officials from the limited partners. This MOU shall become effective upon signature by the authorized officials from the listed partners and will remain in effect until modified or terminated by any one of the partners by mutual consent.
