On motion of TRUSTEE ___, seconded by TRUSTEE ___, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: -. Resolution #25-2026 WHEREAS, the Village has received a draft franchise agreement from Verizon to provide cable television service in certain areas of the Village; and WHEREAS, Cohen Law Group has provided a proposal to assist the Village in negotiations with Verizon; and WHEREAS, the Village has previously used the Cohen Law Group to negotiate the franchise renewal with Altice for cable television services, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby accepts the proposal from Cohen Law Group of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in an amount not to exceed $10,710; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village Manager is hereby authorized to sign the engagement letter with Cohen Law Group for services related to the negotiations of a new franchise agreement with Verizon; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that as funding for this expense was not included in the 2025-2026 General Fund budget, the Village Board hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to transfer $10,710 from Contingency Account A1990.4000 to the following account: A1420.4000 – Law – Contractual: $10,710 Dated: February 4, 2026
