PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT
Fiscal Year 2025/2026
Third Quarter: December 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026
Highway
•
Cleared approximately 60 inches of snow during 4 winter events
•
Repaired 2 catch basins
•
Weekly asphalt maintenance (potholes and water patches)
•
Trimmed approximately 30 trees
•
Removed 1 tree (including grinding leftover stumps)
•
Sewer Jetting throughout the Village
•
Completed the leaf removal program
Sanitation:
•
Collected approximately 873 tons of refuse
•
Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling
•
Collected approximately 686 tons of organic waste
Building Maintenance:
•
Street light repairs and painted poles
•
Replaced various signage throughout Village
•
Assist in EMS addition
•
Upgrade electrical panel at Municipal Building
•
Installed new cross walk signs on Benedict Blvd
•
Washington Firehouse – gas boiler conversion
•
Grand Street Firehouse – new ceiling tiles and lights, new floor in kitchen
Water Department:
•
Meter reading for water billing
•
Maintenance to pumps and motors
•
Snow plowing, snow removal with DPW
•
Responded to 56 code 53-mark outs
•
Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County
•
Completed monthly water sampling
•
Replaced 90 non-working water meters
•
Work on Upper North Highland tank rehab/replacement project

Maintenance/Repairs to Chlorine systems (including yearly service)

Work on lead service, line inventory list

Department of Public Works
Quarterly Report
Parks Department:
•
Continue removing debris and leaves from Village Parks and Playgrounds
•
Assist DPW with snow removal operations
•
Litter removal in Village parks and fields
•
Winter prep on Village fields
•
Removed holiday lights and décor from various spots throughout the Village
Repair Facility:
•
Maintenance on all Village vehicles
•
Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles
•
Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance
Capital Projects:
•
Continued the design process for the Half Mon Bay Bridge project
•
Working towards approval for Cleveland resurfacing grant – bid for resurfacing went out
•
EMS building – members have temporary C/O and members moved in 12/16/25
•
Continued working on design of renovations/addition to the Gouveia property to accommodate
new Recreation Department
•
Washington Engine - Finished retaining wall/stairs and placed binder coat of asphalt along with
new railing
