On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York: Resolution #74-2026 WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson to take such actions as may be necessary and proper to administer the enforcement of summonses returnable to the Croton-on-Hudson Village Court and to provide for the collection of fine and penalty attendants thereto; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for defendants before said Court to dispose of their matters in an orderly fashion, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Board of Trustees hereby establish an initiative known and identified as the “2026 Justice Court Amnesty and Compliance Project”; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that such initiative, comprised of three periods, shall commence on June 1, 2026, and conclude on August 31, 2026; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the period of matters to be covered by such initiative shall be January 1, 2018, through March 31, 2024; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village seeks to offer a discount in the amount of 50% of the outstanding balance of fines and penalties due and owing the Village Court from participants covered in this initiative; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the provisions of this resolution shall take effect immediately; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute the agreement with Fundamental Business Service Inc. and take any other actions necessary to implement this resolution.
