On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #28-2024 WHEREAS, the Climate Smart Community (CSC) Program is a New York State program that helps local governments take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate; and WHEREAS, CSC has incorporated a certification program to document and celebrate the accomplishments of leading communities in the program; and WHEREAS, on April 6, 2009, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution declaring the Village of Croton-on-Hudson a Climate Smart Community; and WHEREAS, on September 24, 2020, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson was certified as a silver-level Climate Smart Community, the highest available ranking, and is currently one of ten silver-level communities in New York State; and WHEREAS, the certification for Croton-on-Hudson will expire on September 30, 2025; and WHEREAS, the process of recertification requires extensive documentation; and WHEREAS, the Village desires to fund a part-time employee to complete the recertification process; and WHEREAS, funding for this expense was not included in the 2023-2024 General Fund budget, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to transfer $10,000 from Contingency Account A1990.4000 to the following account(s): A1230.1100 – Manager – Personnel Services Part Time: $10,000 Dated: February 7, 2024
