I will follow the CYC Best Management Practices, Code of Conduct, Boaters Guide, By-Laws and Standing Rules of the Croton Yacht Club. 2. Boats are assigned to storage according to size. I agree my vessel will be assigned where it will fit and that the decision will be at the discretion of the Vice Commodore. CYC reserves the right to move and relocate any vessel stored on the property without the owner’s consent. 3. Associate Boaters may request winter storage at the club by signing up in the clubhouse in early September. Please notify CYC immediately if your W/S plans change. Failure to do so will result in a $100.00 fine. 4. Winter storage fees must be paid IN FULL before the boat is hauled no later than October 1st. 5. Your Intent to Boat form must be signed on both the front and back to verify you will maintain the required liability insurance for your boat and or PWC. 6. There is to be no overnight or unattended use of electricity. 7. There is NO FUELING of any vessel in the yard. 8. Spring commissioning must be completed in a timely fashion. Winter stored boats to be launched no later than the Saturday before Memorial Day. Please do not hold up your neighbors who are ready on time. There is a $100.00 charge if your boat must be moved to accommodate other boats ready to be launched. 9. CYC will not launch winter stored boats after June 1 or remove boats for winter storage after the last weekend in October. Day Sailed boats not winter storing, must be removed from the yard by 10/1. After these dates you will have to make your own arrangements. Boats or PWC left in the water after 10/31 or on land after 6/1 will be fined $1.00 per foot per day. 10. Any sailboat 25’ and under MUST have its mast un-stepped (taken down) before the crane will launch/haul it. 11. Anyone hired to work on your boat and or PWC must register with an officer and complete all required forms before any work may begin. 12. We no longer allow cradles. Please winter store your boat on jack stands or a trailer. Check your boat on a regular basis to be sure it is secure. Do not fasten your boat cover to your jack stands. Unless jack stand storage has been paid for, DO NOT leave your jack stands at the club. Make arrangements for them to be removed from the property no later than one week after your boat is launched. When hauling your boat, they may come to the club one week prior to being hauled for storage. Failure to comply will result in a $50.00 per stand fee. 13. Keep the ground under and around your boat free of paint, oil, debris, etc. by using plastic or a tarp whenever working there. 14. RESPECT THE CLUB AND THE ENVIRONMENT. According to Federal law, used motor oil, batteries, and paint must be recycled. Since there is no area at CYC to do this, you must remove these materials from the property and dispose of materials properly. If you have any questions, call the Westchester County Recycling Hotline at 285-2588. Fines up to $1,000.00+ may apply. 15. Be sure to read and understand all rules before signing up for winter storage or summer boating. 16. The Croton Yacht Club is not responsible for loss and or damage to vessels and its contents while stored or moored on club property. 17. Croton Yacht Club reserves the right to refer all unpaid fees, assessments and or fines to a collection agency at the vessel owner’s expense. 18. I agree to relieve the Croton Yacht Club and the Village of Croton-on-Hudson of any liability or responsibility for damages or injury to person or property in connection with storing or accessory operations or any use of the demised premises.
