On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #58-2024 WHEREAS, the Village is seeking a replacement for the Fire Department’s Tower Ladder 44, which is over 20 years old and showing signs of aging; and WHEREAS, the Columbian Hook & Ladder Company appointed an apparatus committee to develop the bid specifications for the new Tower Ladder 44; and WHEREAS, on December 28, 2023, the Village issued an invitation to bid; and WHEREAS, on January 25, 2024, one sealed bid was received and opened; and WHEREAS, after a thorough review, the bid received from Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wisconsin, has been determined to meet the Village's requirements; and WHEREAS, funding for this new ladder truck has been secured through a $250,000 grant from Assemblywoman Dana Levenberg and $2,010,000 in assigned fund balance, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board authorizes the Village Manager to award the contract to Pierce Manufacturing in the amount of $2,259,433.
