May 4, 2024 Robert Luntz, Chairman, and Members of the Planning Board Village of Croton-on-Hudson 1 Van Wyck Street Croton-on-Hudson, New York 10520 Dear Chairman Luntz and Members of the Planning Board: My name is Janie Blumenthal and | tive across the street from the proposed dwelling unit. | have lived in this home for 40 years and have put my kids and grandkids through the school district. | want to express my full support to the Berger family for their Proposal and project design. | trust that the addition of this multigenerational home will not only help enhance the life of a fellow deep rooted crotonite family such as mine, but it will also greatly increase the aesthetic and value of our street. Eric has done a wonderful job with his home so far and has transformed his Property into a beautiful visual for us in this neighborhood, Starting with his Stunning plant beds and landscape design. When Speaking to Eric about his Proposed plans, | couldn't help but admire the thoughtfulness of the home design, which takes into account the true character of the neighborhood. We could tell he did his research on maintaining the character and vision that we have kept for our homes for the past 40 years since we Moved in. As it always has been my plan to keep my family close to me as | get older, the ranch 1 floor home will be great for his as well. As for the size | truly favor it will be designed to appear as though it is similar to our homes in square footage because it will make the neighborhood feel more complete. Since the Bergers have moved in, Eric always mentioned how he could utilize the oversized lot to create an accessory apartment/dwelling So he could keep his family close to help with his future Children, now that they have baby Daniel, it even becomes more appealing. It is my recommendation to give the go ahead to his lovely family, and | hope that this will ignite other Croton families to do the same to help families Stay close to each other One request | do have is to please approve the driveway because Jacoby is not the easiest street to back Out of from my driveway and we do not need cars parked ina busy street that many use to come into Croton off 129, Sincerely ? ; A oi « aInore Lhe y RECEIVED MAY 0 6 2024 Engineers Office
