Street Vendor License Policy 1. PURPOSE: This Street Vendor License Policy is intended to allow vendors the opportunity to have a presence in the Upper Village and Croton-Harmon Train Station parking lot in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson. 2. REGULATION: The rules and regulations regarding the licensing process shall be governed by Chapter 172 of the Village Code, Commercial Soliciting. Any vendor applying for a license shall provide the necessary documentation as requested in § 172-5 of the Village Code. 3. NUMBER OF LICENSES: The Village shall allow for the issuance of up to two licenses per day in the Upper Village on Saturday, four (4) licenses per day in the Upper Village on Sunday, and up to eight (8) licenses per day at the Croton-Harmon Station, with each location outlined below. 4. LICENSED LOCATIONS: The locations allowed for licensed vendors shall be as follows: a. Upper Village: Grand Street between Old Post Road North and Mount Airy Road. b. Croton-Harmon Train Station: Section I of the parking lot. The Village reserves the right to make the final determination of the location of each vendor within the aforementioned areas. 5. TIMING OF LICENSES: Duly authorized licenses shall be effective between the hours of noon and 8 PM on Saturdays and Sundays in June, July and August, and between the hours of noon and 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the rest of the year. Vendors selling hot food shall be authorized to set up a maximum of two hours in advance; all other vendors shall be authorized to set up a maximum of one hour in advance. 6. FEE FOR LICENSES: The fee for such license shall be available in the Village’s Master Fee Schedule. 7. APPLICATION PROCESS: All license applications shall be submitted the Wednesday before the day on which it is being requested. The deadline shall be the close of business on that Wednesday. No application will be considered or approved without the required paperwork as stated above in Section 2. 8. NOTIFICATION OF AGENCIES: Whenever such license has been issued, the chief of each of the following agencies shall be notified: Croton-on-Hudson Police Department, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department and Croton-on-Hudson EMS.
