On motion of TRUSTEE ___, seconded by TRUSTEE ____, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, New York, with a - vote. Resolution #121-2024 WHEREAS, the State of New York has amended Labor Law § 206-c to require all private and public sector employers to provide paid break time for nursing employees to express breast milk; and WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson is committed to complying with state laws and supporting the well-being of its employees; and WHEREAS, the proposed policy has been circulated to the Village’s two bargaining units for review and comment, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby adopts the updated policy for nursing employees, which includes the provision of 30 minutes of paid break time for the expression of breast milk, in accordance with the amended Labor Law § 206-c, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that this policy will take effect on June 19, 2024, in compliance with state law, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees directs the Village Clerk to distribute the new policy to all Officers, Employees and Volunteers of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.
