On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was 
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York 
with the following vote:  
 
Resolution #140-2024 
 
WHEREAS, the owners of the property located at 204 Hessian Hills Road, known as 
parcel 68.09-4-38 on the Village Tax Maps, filed a grievance that continued as a 
Small Claims Assessment Review (SCAR) proceeding due to extensive damage to 
their house from a fallen tree; and 
 
WHEREAS, following negotiations, the Village Assessor agreed to reduce the 
assessed value of the property from $10,500 to $7,860; and 
 
WHEREAS, based on the current tax rate of $286.061, a refund of $755.20 is 
warranted, 
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Treasurer is hereby 
authorized and directed to issue a tax refund in the amount of $755.20 to the 
appropriate party, in accordance with the settlement agreement outlined in the memo 
from the Village Assessor dated June 17, 2024.
