On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York
with the following vote:
Resolution #142-2024
WHEREAS, the Climate Smart Community (CSC) Program is a New York State
program that helps local governments take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
and adapt to a changing climate; and
WHEREAS, on September 24, 2020, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson was certified
as a silver-level Climate Smart Community, the highest available ranking, and is
currently one of ten silver-level communities in New York State; and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2024, the Village Board of Trustees allocated $10,000 to
fund a part-time position to help with the re-certification process; and
WHEREAS, the recertification process was not completed by the end of the fiscal
year, when the funding lapsed,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes
the Village Treasurer to transfer $6,000 from Contingency Account A1990.4000 to
the following account(s):
A1230.1100 – Manager – Personnel Services Part Time: $6,000
