On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #200-2024 WHEREAS, the Village would like to amend Chapter 204 of the Village Code on Taxation, to provide for exemptions for first-time homebuyers of newly constructed homes, improvements to property made pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, physically disabled crime victims, and for improvements to real property meeting certification standards for green buildings; and WHEREAS, these exemptions were discussed at the May 15 and August 28 work sessions; and WHEREAS, Local Law Introductory No. 11 of 2024 has been drafted to reflect such language; and WHEREAS, the Village Board held a public hearing to consider Local Law Introductory No. 11 of 2024, which was opened and closed on October 23, 2024, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby adopts Local Law Introductory No. 11 of 2024, to amend Chapter 204 of the Village Code on Taxation, to provide for exemptions for first-time homebuyers of newly constructed homes, improvements to property made pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, physically disabled crime victims, and for improvements to real property meeting certification standards for green buildings, which upon adoption becomes Local Law No. 14 of 2024.
