As we do not have a garage or existing structure large enough to house the tricycle we are building a shed in our driveway. The tricycle is approximately 4 feet wide x 9 feet long and costs approximately $9,000 making it an expense we want to ensure we care for properly ina completely enclosed unit. We are requesting the Village of Croton-on-Hudson grant us a variance to build this shed in our driveway. We have the support of our neighbor at 42 Van Wyck St, Michael King as noted in the accompanying letter. 1. The shed will not have an undesirable effect or change on the neighborhood or bea detriment to nearby properties. When complete the shed will have siding and shingles that will complement our home. 2. Unless we build an actual garage we cannot house this bike any other way. 3. The variance we are requesting it not substantial. We are requesting less than 5 feet of variance 4. There will be no adverse effect or impact on the physical or environmental conditions in the neighborhood. It is not too high and is completely on our property, set back form the street. 5. The need for this shed was not self-created. Our son suffered a catastrophic stroke when he was an infant and this left him with Cerebral Palsy. He is unable to ride a typical bike and needs a special tricycle. In an effort to have him live the most typical life possible we'd like to be able to take him biking with our whole family- so to do this we need a tandem specialty bike which is large and expensive. Thank you Dana Dago-Clark and Chance Mitchell 44 Van Wyck St Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520
