A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, NY was held
on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the Georgianna Grant Meeting Room at the Stanley
Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
Also present:
Two invited guests
Mayor Pugh called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM.
The following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees at the work session:
On motion of TRUSTEE SIMON, seconded by TRUSTEE POLITI the following resolution was
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, New York, with a 4-0 vote.
Resolution #227-2024
WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson seeks to amend the Code of the Village of Croton-
on-Hudson by adding a new Chapter 186 entitled "Rental Housing" to implement the provisions
of the Good Cause Eviction Law enacted by the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Local Law Introductory No. 15 of 2024 was drafted for such purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees wishes to reschedule the public hearing to provide
additional notice time to residents and interested parties,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby cancels the
Public Hearing previously scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, at 7:00 PM,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby reschedules the
Public Hearing to Wednesday, January 8, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Georgianna Grant Meeting
Room of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building to consider Local Law Introductory No.
15 of 2024 to amend the Code of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson by adding a new Chapter 186
entitled "Rental Housing" to implement the provisions of the Good Cause Eviction Law enacted
by the State of New York.
A motion to close the special meeting and enter into an executive session to discuss the proposed
acquisition, sale or lease of real property when publicity would substantially affect the value
thereof was made by Trustee Simon. The motion was seconded by Trustee Nicholson and approved
with a 4-0 vote. The meeting was adjourned at 6:04 PM.
