From: Rob Abbot To: Cc: Janeen Subject: Croton Landing COVID Grove Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2025 7:52:26 PM ***CAUTION: External sender.*** Mr. Healy, Last fall I conferred with John Bouchard about planting some new trees in the COVID Commemorative Grove that Croton Rotary Sponsors on the Croton Landing Riverwalk. We agreed that adding a couple of redbud trees among the six current dogwoods could enhance the installation. Redbuds, like the dogwoods, are early bloomers but also have showy fall foliage that the dogwoods lack. After conferring with one of the experts at Rosedale Nursery, who confirmed the compatibility of redbuds with the existing installation, the Rotary Club proposes to add two redbuds to the grove, purchasing the trees and handling their installation, in consultation with the DPW. If the Village approves this request, we would like to proceed over the next several weeks. Thank you for your consideration. Rob Abbot 703-380-8883
