The Village Board of Trustees are seeking to amend Chapter 227, Wetlands, and 
Chapter 230, Zoning, of the Village Code to update provisions related to trees. The 
proposed amendment to Chapter 227 will authorize the Village Engineer to issue a 
wetlands permit for the removal of a tree in a wetlands or wetlands buffer area. The 
proposed amendment to Chapter 230 will require the planting of trees in any new 
subdivision be coordinated with the Superintendent of Public Works and the 
requirements listed in Chapter 208, Trees.
