On motion of TRUSTEE ---, seconded by TRUSTEE ---, the following resolution was 
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on- Hudson, New York with 
a - vote. 
 
Resolution #180-2025 
 
WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson owns the staircase that connects 
Farrington Road to Brook Street, having purchased the property in 1930; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Village Board funded the replacement of the staircase in the 2025-2026 
Capital Budget; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid on June 5, 2025, for the project; and 
 
WHEREAS, three bids were received at the time of the bid opening on July 3, 2025; and 
 
WHEREAS, the three bids received were higher than anticipated and outside the 
approved funding scope for the project, 
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Trustees of the Village of 
Croton-on-Hudson hereby rejects the bids received on July 3, 2025, for the Farrington 
Road Staircase Replacement project.
