--- PAGE 1 --- SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CROTON-HARMON UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CROTON-HARMON ADMINISTRATORS’ ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District (hereinafter the “District’”) and the Croton-Harmon Administrators’ Association (“Association”) are parties to a collective bargaining agreement covering the period July 1, 20__ to June 30, 20__ (hereinafter “CBA”); and WHEREAS, Erica Fiorini (Ms. Fiorini’) is the Assistant Principal for the Croton-Harmon High School (“High School”) and a member of the Association bargaining unit; and WHEREAS, Ms. Fiorini has requested, and been granted, a leave of absence from her probationary Assistant Principal position in order to be appointed the Interim Principal of the High School; and WHEREAS, the District has appointed Ms. Fiorini as the Interim Principal of the High School for the period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, the parties have entered into discussions regarding Ms. Fiorini remaining a member of the Association during her appointment as Interim Principal; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED, by and between the Association and the District as follows: 1. The parties agree that Ms. Fiorini shall remain a member of the Association bargaining unit during her appointment as Interim Principal of the High School. All terms and conditions of the CBA shall continue to apply to Ms. Fiorini during her appointment as Interim Principal of the High School. -1- --- PAGE 2 --- 2. Upon her return to her Assistant Principal position in the 2027-2028 school year, Ms. Fiorini’s annual base salary as Assistant Principal shall be increased to the amount that it would have been had she remained in her Assistant Principal position and not taken a leave of absence from said position during the 2026-2027 school year (i.e., Ms. Fiorini’s 2025-2026 Assistant Principal salary shall be increased by the salary increases negotiated between the District and the Association, if any, for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years). However, Ms. Fiorini understands and acknowledges that she will not receive any tenure credit towards her probationary period or seniority credit as an Assistant Principal for the period of time that she is on the unpaid leave of absence from her Assistant Principal position during the 2026-2027 school year. 3. Ms. Fiorini understands and agrees that, by appointing her to the position of Interim Principal of the High School, the District is not appointing her to a probationary appointment in the position of Principal. Ms. Fiorini further understands and agrees that she is being appointed to a non-tenure bearing, interim position and hereby waives any claim that she is entitled to a probationary appointment and/or any tenure credit based upon her employment as Interim Principal of the High School. 4. The parties agree that neither this Side Letter of Agreement, nor the terms and conditions set forth herein, shall constitute a precedent with respect to Ms. Fiorini, with respect to any other bargaining unit members, with respect to salary increases, with respect to the inclusion of Interim Administrator positions within the Association bargaining unit and/or for any other purposes whatsoever. The parties further agree that neither this Side Letter of Agreement, nor the terms and conditions set forth herein, may -2. --- PAGE 3 --- be introduced into evidence in future arbitrations, negotiations, mediations, or fact-finding proceedings, or otherwise in any administrative or judicial forum, except for the purposes of enforcing the parties’ agreements contained herein. 5. This Side Letter of Agreement is subject to and contingent upon its approval by the Board of Education of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District.
