A listing of 2026 CHHS PTSA senior awards and scholarships, each requiring the common scholarship application. Most awards are $300, including the PTSA Art, Book, Carol Loatman Music, Environmental, Fred Blais Actor, French, Mandarin, Marge Valzania Memorial Student Service, Mary Marrin, Sara Tykol Memorial journalism, Science Research, Spanish, Stage Crew, Theater Crew and Virginia McGrath awards, while the Josephine Neff Memorial Award is $250. Criteria vary by award across academics, pursuit of higher education, school involvement, community service and athletics.

2026 Senior Awards/Scholarships (Common Scholarship Application Required) 4 Award Name Award Amount Academic Criteria Pursuing higher education School Involve- ment Community Service Athletics Description PTSA Art Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in art. PTSA Book Award $300 X X Awarded to a student who has demonstrated the PTSA’s commitment to study and community. PTSA Carol Loatman Music Scholarship $300 X X Awarded to a student who has chosen to study music as a college major, and who has demonstrated extraordinary passion and aptitude for voice or instrument during their attendance at Croton-Harmon, and who has achieved an overall grade point average of at least 85%. If no student meets these criteria in the graduating class, the award will not be granted that year. PTSA Environmental Award $300 X Awarded to a student who has shown commitment and service toward the community and environment. PTSA Fred Blais Actor award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level and achievement in acting. PTSA French Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in French. PTSA Josephine Neff Memorial Award $250 X Awarded to a student who best exemplifies unselfish devotion to the principle of service to the community. PTSA Mary Marrin Award $300 X Awarded to a student who has outstanding service to the Student-Faculty Congress and the student body. PTSA Sara Tykol Memorial Scholarship $300 X Awarded to a student interested in pursuing a career in journalism and/or writing. PTSA Science Research Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in Science Research. PTSA Spanish Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in Spanish. PTSA Stage Crew Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in stage crew. Given to a student who is responsible for building and overseeing the stage set, as well as sound and lighting. PTSA Theater Crew Award $300 X Awarded to a student with a high level of interest and achievement in theater. Given to a student who is responsible for directing and costuming. PTSA Virginia McGrath Scholarship $300 X Awarded to a student who possesses qualities of compassion and dedication that benefit the entire Croton community.
