! Croton Yacht Club Scholarship Scholarship Description The scholarship shall be sponsored by the Croton Yacht Club residing at 6 Elliott Way in the Village of Croton on Hudson, N.Y. The scholarship shall be a onetime grant awarded to a Croton High School graduate or graduates pursuing college accredited courses or graduate(s) attending trade, vocational and or technical educational facilities. Scholarship Mission The mission of the scholarship grant is to: • Promote the science of seamanship and navigation • Cultivate future environmental leaders and advocates. • Develop future stewards of local marine resources. • Enhance, promote and protect local river related recreational resources. Application Process: Students shall submit an application through the Croton Harmon High School Scholarship Committee by the designated deadline. The student shall describe on the application their personal achievements, interests and goals and include any relevancy to the scholarship mission. The narrative shall also describe how their future educational and planned career paths align with the scholarship mission. Amount and Disposition of Award(s): The award(s), presented as a one-time grant(s) totaling Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000), shall be awarded at the CHHS Senior Awards event. In the event it is determined that there is more than one worthy candidate, the $2,000 award shall be distributed equally between those selected. Revised 2/9/2025
