Resolution #171-2026 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A NEW YORK STATE OF ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITIES CORPORATION (EFC): WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT (WIIA) GRANT APPLICATION FOR HARRISON STREET WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson owns and operates a municipal water supply, treatment, and distribution system serving residents and businesses within the Village, within Westchester County, New York; and WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson has determined that certain existing water mains and related valves and hydrants are in deteriorated condition and in need of relining and/or replacement to continue to provide safe potable water to all residents and business and industrial users; and WHEREAS, to improve the water infrastructure, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson is looking to make rehabilitate an existing water main and installing a new water main to strengthen water quality and long-term service reliability at Harrison Street and Sunset Trail (“the Project”); and WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson is seeking funding under the “EFC WIIA” administered by the NYS EFC for final design and construction of the Project as described above and in the Village’s pending WIIA Application; and WHEREAS, the cost estimate for the Project is $1,236,000, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson hereby authorizes the Village Manager to execute the funding agreement with EFC and any associated documents, and take all necessary action to submit an application for $1,236,000 in EFA WIIA to improve the water infrastructure at Harrison Street and Sunset Trail, and, upon the funding of said amount, commits to provide the match of $370,000 from the Water Fund, and, authorizes expenditures for the Project as necessary to complete the work described.
