On motion of TRUSTEE ____, seconded by TRUSTEE ____, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on- Hudson, New York, with a - vote. Resolution #88-2026 WHEREAS, two parcels currently exist on the property tax map for underwater lands in the Hudson River; and WHEREAS, in 2023, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and Town of Cortlandt reduced the assessed valuation of these parcels to zero, which resulted in no additional property tax bills being generated; and WHEREAS, the property taxes owed for these two parcels (from 2011 to 2022) total $20,590.27; and WHEREAS, it is unlikely that the Village will be able to collect these unpaid amounts; and WHEREAS, in discussions with the Village’s auditing firm, it was recommended to write these amounts off as uncollectible, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to write off these two amounts in the amount of $20,590.27.
