A memo dated June 26, 2026, asks the Village Board to accept two donations: $2,824.80 sent in by Abigail Reba to purchase a bench at Croton Landing in memory of Rosemarie Raffa, and a new scoreboard for the field at Dobbs Park donated by NK Electric and the Croton Lions Club. To: From: Date: June 26, 2026 Re: Dobbs Park Scoreboard & Croton Landing Bench Donations I received a request from Abigail Reba to donate funds for the purchase of a bench at Croton Landing in memory of Rosemarie Raffa. In accordance with the adopted Gift & Donation Policy, the request was forwarded to the Recreation Advisory Committee for their review and comment. The Recreation Advisory Committee reviewed the request at their May 11, 2026, meeting and gave their approval. Ms. Reba has sent in payment in the amount of $2,824.80, which is the total cost of the bench being purchased. I also received a request from NK Electric and the Croton Lions Club to donate a new scoreboard for the field at Dobbs Park. In accordance with the adopted Gift & Donation Policy, the request was forwarded to the Recreation Advisory Committee for their review and comment. The request was also forwarded to the Advisory Board for the Visual Environment (VEB) for their review and comment. The Recreation Advisory Committee reviewed the request at their June 8, 2026, meeting and gave their approval. The VEB reviewed the request at their June 9, 2026, meeting and gave their approval. Croton Little League has also sent in a letter of support for the donation of the scoreboard. I request that the Village Board approve the acceptance of these donations and authorize the placement of the bench at Croton Landing and the scoreboard at Dobbs Park.
