On motion of TRUSTEE ---, seconded by TRUSTEE ---, the following resolution was
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with a -
vote.
Resolution #155-2026
WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson was bequeathed the property known as
Gouveia Park in 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is slated to undertake various site
improvements at Gouveia Park (the “Proposed Action”) as discussed and approved by
the Village Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2026, the Village Board adopted Resolution 113-2026 to
determine the Proposed Action was an Unlisted Action under the State Environmental
Quality Review Act (SEQRA); and
WHEREAS, since that time, Governor Kathy Hochul has signed into law updates to
the SEQRA regulations; and
WHEREAS, these updates now consider improvements to public park facilities as Type
II actions, requiring no environmental review,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby
determine that the site improvements at Gouveia Park are a Type II Action under
SEQRA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that Resolution 113-2026 is hereby rescinded.
