On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York: Resolution #164-2026 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 114 of the Agriculture & Markets Law of the State of New York, each municipality that issues dog licenses shall establish and maintain a shelter for dogs, or may contract with an agency to provide such service; and WHERAES, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson desires to enter into a contract with SPCA of Westchester of Briarcliff Manor, New York to provide such service at a cost of $4,400; and WHEREAS, the term of the agreement is July 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the Village Manager to execute the agreement with SPCA of Westchester of Briarcliff Manor, New York, to provide shelter services to the Village for seized and stray dogs at a cost of $4,400 for the period of July 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to make the following budget transfer in the 2026-2027 General Fund budget: A3510.4000 Animal Control – Contractual $2,900 Decrease A1990.4000 Contingency $2,900 Dated: July 1, 2026
