WHEREAS, flooding issues along Brook Street have existed for many years in the
Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village has been working with D&B Engineers to develop plans to
improve drainage along Brook Street and Terrace Place; and
WHEREAS, the Village has received funding for this project from Westchester
County in the amount of $701,000; and
WHEREAS, as this project is included on the Village’s Hazard Mitigation Plan, it is
eligible for low interest financing from New York State through the New York State
Hazard Mitigation Revolving Loan Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, receiving funds from this program will result in a cost savings to
residents compared to bonding the cost of the work,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes the
Village Manager to submit an application to the New York State Hazard Mitigation
