On motion of TRUSTEE ____, seconded by TRUSTEE ____, the following resolution 
was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on- Hudson, New York 
with the following vote: -. 
 
Resolution #191-2023 
 
WHEREAS in 2011, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson agreed to serve as the municipal 
sponsor with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) for the Van 
Cortlandt Manor Entrance Improvement Project; and 
 
WHEREAS, under this contract, the Village issued an invitation to bid on June 13, 2023, 
for the project; and 
 
WHEREAS, five bids were received at the time of the bid opening on August 10, 2023; 
and 
 
WHEREAS, the five bids received for the project were higher than anticipated; and 
 
WHEREAS, Historic Hudson Valley has recommended that the bids be rejected, 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Trustees of the Village of 
Croton-on-Hudson hereby rejects the bids received on August 10, 2023, for the Van 
Cortlandt Manor Entrance Improvement Project.
