On motion of TRUSTEE , seconded by TRUSTEE , the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, New York, with a - vote. Resolution #209-2023 WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson adopted zoning and building regulations in July 1931; and WHEREAS, some records of building permits and certificate of occupancies for the 1930s, 1940s and part of the 1950s were stored in the Municipal Building basement storage room instead of the property record files; and WHEREAS, after these old records were located in the basement, the old building permit and certificate of occupancy documents were filed in the respective property file in the Engineering/Building Department Office; and WHEREAS, some of the old building permits have no associated certificate of occupancy, which can be reported as a violation on the property; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager has proposed to hire a part-time employee to go through these old records to determine which old building permits were not closed out by a certificate of occupancy; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has estimated that the work will take a total of 25 weeks, at 8 hours per week, for a total estimate of $7,000; and WHEREAS, funding for this expense was not included in the 2023-2024 General Fund budget, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the Village Treasurer to transfer $7,000 from Contingency Account A1990.4000 to the following account: A1440.1100 Engineer- Personnel Services P/T: $7,000 Dated: September 19, 2023
