This project was designed by an Engineering Consultant, and built mostly in-house. As usual, performing projects this way helps keep costs down, and also allows the DPW to get involved with Village Capital Improvements. As you know, this project was never really funded as a typical project. Funds were set aside for Capital Improvements to Grand Street firehouse many years ago. This was a benefit as we were able to move forward with improvements as they came up in the past few years. Unfortunately, we are running out of funding, and require addiƟonal money to complete construcƟon. The following is a list of tasks needed to be done: Welding - $ 8,000 Epoxy floor - $34,500 Concrete - $6,000 Plumbing - $ 4,000 Electrical - $3,000 Labor - $5,000 Tool Rental - $1,000 Garage Door Adjustment - $ 1,500 This work is expected to cost $ 63,000. As a reminder, there were different aspects to this project that came out of the exisƟng funding for this project (temporary shoring of the floor, all of the design work, inspecƟons and cerƟficaƟons, etc.). I would like to request funding in the amount of $63,000 to complete the work needed for the structural improvements to the Grand Street firehouse.
