Dear Brian and Bryan, The following is the Statement of Inclusivity that the resident group I have been working with is recommending that the Village adopt. The group includes the newly appointed Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Cristina Arnold, as well as the two new member appointees, Kenna Weiner and Will Begney. The group also includes Pride organizers, people of color, and past and present School Board members and members of Ce3, which is an organization working to bring Excellence in Education and Equity to the Croton School District. The Village of Croton-on-Hudson affirms the human rights of all who visit, work or live in our Village. We aim to be an inclusive and safe place for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender and sexual identity, faith, disability, language, and socio- economic and immigration status. Can the Statement be included in the background material on the agenda for Monday night's meeting, so that the Trustees can have the time to read it and consider it before Monday night's discussion? Additionally, and perhaps part of the discussion, is the hope of this ad hoc Committee that a rejuvenated Diversity & Inclusion Committee can be empowered to advise and assist the Village Board to implement the adopted Statement. Thank you! Sherry
