On motion of TRUSTEE -, seconded by TRUSTEE -, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York with the following vote: Resolution #151-2024 WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson recognizes the need for improved pedestrian infrastructure to enhance safety and accessibility for residents and visitors; and WHEREAS, the Village has identified a project for the installation of a sidewalk along the north side of Municipal Place between Maple Street and South Riverside Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides financial assistance to communities for the purpose of developing viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons; and WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson intends to submit an application for CDBG funding in the amount of $200,000 to support this sidewalk installation project, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson hereby endorses the submission of the CDBG application for the installation of a sidewalk along the north side of Municipal Place between Maple Street and South Riverside Avenue; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Village will contribute the remainder of the cost of the project.
