ROIE ROSE MEMORADUM TO: Mayor Leo Wiegman and Board of Trustees FROM: Charlie Kane, Chairman of Waterfront Advisory Committee SUBJECT: General Splice Corporation – 1 Niles Road (Sec. 68.14 Blk. 5 Lots 4, 5) – Referral from Village Board regarding a special use permit for non-conforming use—final consistency review DATE: October 6, 2011 On October 5, 2011, the Waterfront Advisory Committee reviewed the above-referenced referral for a final determination of consistency with the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). Based on the preliminary determination of consistency with the LWRP made by the WAC on September 22, 2011, the Short EAF dated September 1, 2011, the Coastal Assessment Form (CAF) dated September 1, 2011, and the fact that there have been no changes made to the application since the preliminary review, a final determination of consistency was made by a vote of 3-0 in favor. Chairman Charlie Kane, Ann Gallelli, and Bruce Kauderer were present. The WAC evaluated this application for consistency in accordance with the LWRP policy standards and conditions set forth in section 225-6(J) of the Village Code, which are further explained and described in Section III of the LWRP. The WAC members noted that there have been no changes made to this application since the preliminary review. Because there are no expected adverse impacts on coastal resources, there is no reason to consider alternative actions or mitigation measures. It is for the reasons contained in this memorandum that the WAC issues its final recommendation of consistency. CK/rlr
